About Moss

“They are a one-in-a-million talent, but it's their personality that wins you over."

- Chanda Hall

(Founder/Former Artistic Director of Staged!)

Moss Jones (they/them) is a gender-fluid actor, improv artist and singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon. Moss received BFAs in Musical Theatre and International Theatre Production from Ohio Northern University. Since then, they have released their first single titled, "Silence" and their EP "The Chromatic Connection". Moss moved to NYC in 2022 and made their debut at 54 Below singing Master of Chaos. Moss spends their days managing birthday parties, educating children, playing with their cat Pistachio, and their hamster Chrysanthemum.

Born under the name Haley Elora Ward, Moss began their professional career in Portland, Oregon as a musical theatre performer for several years. Moss Jones is a buffet person when it comes to food and life. When they aren't performing you can find them writing music, sipping a Dr. Pepper or watching a true crime documentary.

Most recently Moss made their Off-Broadway debut with The Parts I Keep Inside at the Triad Theater in midtown NYC.
